Whats the easiest time and way to talk about sex?
Outside the bedroom and side by side!
Side by side?? Yes it can be much easier sometimes to have vulnerable, uncomfortable conversations not staring each other straight in the eyes.
I’m a lover of deep intimacy and eye contact but I know this have helped many couples I’ve been working with.
Great times to talk about sex:
- Road trips/driving
- Walking the dog
- Laying on the beach
- Watching the sunset
- Stroll in the park
I always recommend to start the conversation about sex outside the bedroom.
It can be a very sensitive topic and either you are asking for what you want more of, what you desire, expressing a fantasy or asking questions, if your partner have any negative emotions connected to the topic it could shut them off emotionally, turn them off and it’s game over.
So start the conversation about sex outside the bedroom and it doesn’t make them feel that they are doing anything wrong in the moment.
Remember that couples that can talk openly about sex can discuss other uncomfortable topics in the relationship and better communication leads to happier healthier relationships.
And don’t forget to start and finish with gratitude. Express what you are already loving and appreciating about your partner and how much they mean to you.
